Can you share the placement details for the Medical Electronics course at BMSCE?

I would like to apply for BMSCE Medical Electronics course. I have seen that it has a syllabus similar to Electronics and Communication, but the cutoffs are vastly different. Why is this so? Are the students in this course allowed to sit for Electronics related companies during placement?

    The Medical Electronics course at BMSCE (BMS College of Engineering) boasts a good placement record, with around 80% of students getting placed, with companies like GE Medicals, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, and Cognizant visiting the campus for recruitment; the average package offered is typically between INR 6-8 Lacs per annum.
