    15% of the seats at private universities in India are reserved by the government through management quotas. The college's administration may fill the final 15% of seats, with the remaining 85% being filled on the basis of merit.

    In certain private engineering institutions in India, 20–30% of all seats are reserved for direct admission under management quotas. For instance, students can use the B.Tech Management Quota to apply to private colleges in Haryana for 25% of the available seats.
