Can you suggest a book for self-study? I am from Madhya Pradesh.

I am pursuing mechanical engineering and want to prepare for Railways, Central Govt., factory exams like ordinance factory, vehicle factory & state Govt. Can you suggest the best books for it so that I can self-prepare for it? I am interested in both (technical as well as non-technical stream).
