Depends upon what you want to achieve - if you want to do a course to be a software developer then take a long-term course (12-18-24 months), else if it is to gain familiarity then take-up appropriate short-term course.

B.Sc in information technology and BCA, that is Bachelor's of computer applications are the popular computer courses, and if you are asking about short term courses then it depends on what you want to pursue after that in you graduation.

If you are from science Stream then B.Tech should be your top priority if you want to make a career in the IT Sector. If you are from commerce or arts stream then you can go for BCA course. Both courses have a huge scope as long as you are willing to work hard and achieve more.
