Most engineering colleges in Maharashtra charge around Rs. 80,000-1 Lacs per year. Top institutes charge between the range of Rs 1.5-2.8 Lacs per year. List of best engineering colleges in Maharashtra:

Yes, I am totally agree with you. Whether it is government or private colleges, everybody is hiking their fees structure.
