There are numerous colleges across the country that offers MA in psychology but I must recommend LPU on the basis of my experience as it offers Masters in Psychology. This degree can take the form of either a Master of Arts (MA) or Master of Science (M.Sc). An M.Sc degree is likely to be more focused on research and the sciences, while an MA may be more focused on the arts and humanities aspects of psychology. I know one such University in Northern India I. e. Lovely Professional University that offers a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Psychology. AT UG level, you could have gone for BA Honors with Psychology as the main subject. In PG level, 2 streams are there in LPU. This degree proves to be advantageous, compared to the other universities as it provides majors in psychology. one could go for LPUNEST which is a National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programs in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility and scholarship for most of the programs and for some of the programme's test is applicable only for a scholarship. If your question was about studying Psychological Counseling without any prior experience, then yes, you can. There are some really good colleges which offer Counseling Psychology at both Bachelors and Masters Level. You can be an undergraduate from any stream and switch to a Masters in Counseling Psychology. -Hyderabad Academy of Psychology (HAP) & Banjara Academy offer certificate courses that enable you to get into professional Counseling. -Montfort College, Bangalore (Affiliated to Martin Luther Christian University) offers a full time Masters in Counseling Psychology and you do not need to have any previous psychology experience. It offers a PG Diploma in counseling as well.
