Dear reader,

With 81% in B.Com from Delhi University, you hold a strong academic profile that may qualify you for direct admission into the MBA programme at Lovely Professional University (LPU). LPU generally considers scores from entrance exams like LPUNEST, CAT, MAT, or XAT. However, candidates with high marks in their previous studies, like yours, may be eligible for direct entry and even merit-based scholarships. Admission criteria can vary slightly each year, so it's best to consult LPU's admissions office or visit the official website for the most accurate and updated information regarding eligibility, scholarship opportunities,

Here's the latest info on B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) admission at Delhi University:

DU offers B.Tech CSE at the Faculty of Technology (FoT). Admission is through JEE Main scores, not CUET .

For General category, the closing rank in the first round was around 8,336, expanding to 21,399 by later rounds in 2023 .

You'd need a JEE Main rank below ~22,000 (CRL) to secure admission to CSE at DU .

If your rank is higher, Electrical Engineering can be considered, where cutoffs extended to approximately 42,000.

Hindu College, a top DU college, had a closing cutoff of 359 for Chemistry (EWS) in 2024. For Botany, the general cutoff at Hindu College was 541 in 2024. Other DU colleges have similar or slightly lower cutoffs.

So, your score puts you comfortably above cut off levels for both Chemistry and Botany (Hons) under the EWS category. You will be eligible for admission in many good DU colleges.

Interpreting CUET 269/750 for DU Admission:

Admission FactorAnalysis
Score of 269/750Considered low to moderate, likely below cutoff for top-tier DU colleges
Course DemandHighly sought-after courses (like B.Com Hons, Pol. Sci, Psychology) require 600+
Off-campus/Regional CollegesMay accept lower scores, especially in Program courses
Reservation QuotaIf the student belongs to SC/ST/OBC/EWS or PwD, chances may improve
Spot Round PossibilityVacant seats in later counseling rounds may offer opportunities

Reality Check Based on Trends:

  • 269/750 might be insufficient for central DU colleges and most honors courses.

  • However, options may open in less competitive programmes, women's colleges, or later rounds if seat vacancies occur.

What You Can Do:

  1. Explore DU's CSAS portal and check previous year cutoffs.

  2. Consider colleges like:

    • Bhagini Nivedita College

    • Satyawati College (Evening)

    • Aditi Mahavidyalaya

  3. Stay alert for spot rounds and vacant seat notices.
