Can you suggest some good and inexpensive private universities for B.Tech (CS) and mechanical engineering?

If you want a value for money option with solid track record of placements, LPU might just be right for you. I'll put the things point by point. 1. More than 60 of these offer above 10 lacs per annum and about 100 are from fortune 500 club. 2. Fee: The fee for any programme at LPU depends on what scholarship are you able to secure. These scholarships are in various categories and criteria I. e sports, defense, on basis of performance in last two qualifications, on basis of LPU NEST and last but not the least the new Covid-19 frontline scholarship. Lets take an example: You are bale to secure 40% scholarship, your fee shall be: 98000-40% = 58800 per semester. So the total fee shall be: 58800* 8 semesters = 470400/- Hostel fee on average shall be 55000*4 = 220000/- So the total is under 7 lacs! Which is well below inside your budget and placement criteria! So LPU makes the ideal choice given its unmatched track record in last 15 years Please note that the fee numbers are taken from LPU website as on today I. e 12 may 2020. Hello! As per my experience I would suggest you LPU. Lovely Professional University (LPU) is one such university that is reputed in the field of education and can easily be your first choice to pursue an engineering degree. One of the best things about LPU is the placement opportunities it provides to its students. If you are looking for the budgeted engineering option, I would blindly say gor for LPU. LPU offers the chance to meritorious students to study at the university and not let financial difficulties hold them back. For this, LPU conducts a scholarship test called the LPU NEST test at the time of admissions. A candidate gets a scholarship of a maximum of 4 Lacs based on the marks obtained in the test. You can also get upto 100% scholarship on your programme fees at LPU. Students of this university are working at respectable positions in major corporations such as Amazon, Google, etc. With packages of more than 1 crore. Cognizant alone has hired 1900 students from the university. More than 700+ companies such as Microsoft, HP, Hindustan Lever, etc. That recruit from IIT also recruit from LPU. The campus of the university spans over 600 acres and is like a city in itself. The campus has labs, auditorium (the largest in the country), libraries, hospital, shopping malls, post office, and an in-house hotel. With a pharmacy in the hospital premises, the hospital is open to the students on a 247 basis. LPU puts a strong focus on research and development. In the past years, LPU students have achieved a lot in the field of research. There is a multi storey block in the campus dedicated to research and development which the students can use. IPU colleges are good and fall under the criteria you mentioned but for mechanical you have to hunt for placements by yourself as college doesn't support much for core branches most students get placed in IT companies.
