In order to start a career in any field of psychology, a Master's degree is required. So you can complete a two years Master's degree course in psychology first and then go in for an M.Phil in clinical psychology. Most M.Phil courses in psychology can be completed in a year but the same in the specialization of clinical psychology takes around 2 years. NIMHANS in Bangalore is considered one of the best institutes for M.Phil in clinical psychology.

Some mental-health / wellness centers explicitly offer internship/trainee-positions to BA or BSc psychology students. For example, Peace of Mind (India) offers “graduate internship (BA/BSc Psychology or Clinical Psychology)” which includes patient-center workflow, admin support, content-creation, and “live-project” work.
