In the case of Chennai, College of Engineering, Guindy (Anna University) and Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) provide low fees (less than INR 1.5 Lakhs) and good track record of placements with averages in the package above INR 6 LPA, with 100 percent placement in some departments. The PSG College of Technology and Coimbatore Institute of technology (CIT) in Coimbatore are also popular institutions having fee structure generally lower than INR 3 Lakh, good placement rates with an average package of INR 5-8 LPA and high placement percentages across most of the courses.
