    There has been a little dip in number of CE aspirants because some other streams are thought to be more glamorous. Due to this dip, the number of passing grads is also low, so the scope is immense. When the economy in last 28 years is going full steam, the entire landscape of the country has seen a sea change. And this change will keep on going for another century on back of infrastructure push, public spending and rising incomes among the population.     Hi Dear, # From homes to buildings to office spaces to factories to malls to entire cities to motorways to airports to hospitals to corporate complexes every project needs civil engineers to execute!
    I would say that CE has a huge scope of jobs in private sector, government sector, higher education and entrepreneurship. Some private sector job profiles available are:

    Civil engineering is the father of engineering. It deals with the knowledge of construction material, roads, railway and bridges, etc.

    It's a branch of engineering which deals with the knowledge of materials of construction, their strengths and capabilities of bearing load. It's also gives the art of building bridges and tunnels it also includes under earth study means study of soil. How many types of soil are there,their load bearing capacity and nature of soil.

    Apart from IIT, top colleges for civil engineering are National Institute of Technology, R. V. College of Engineering, Delhi Technological University, College of Engineering Pune, UPES Dehradun, Lovely Professional University etc. Lovely Professional University is one of the best institutes for engineering in the state of Punjab. So if a degree in B.Tech (Civil engineering) is what you seek, I suggest that you do consider LPU. I have sound reasons to actually make this suggestion.
