Hi Isha, From homes to buildings to office spaces to factories to malls to entire cities to motorways to airports to hospitals to corporate complexes every project needs civil engineers to execute! I would say that CE has a huge scope of jobs in private sector, government sector, higher education and entrepreneurship. You can work in the construction industry as well as in the business, management, and financial sectors. As a Civil Engineer, you can take up career options in diverse fields such as Building control surveyor, CAD technician, Consulting civil engineer, Contracting civil engineer, Design Engineer, Nuclear Engineer, Site Engineer, Structural engineer, Water engineer, Rural and Urban Transport engineer. The job opportunities will be available to you both in the Government sector and private sector. But, the main concern is choosing the best institute. Try hard for IITs or NIT's. One more fact is this that now a days, Private Institutes are even working and putting efforts more rigorously. So, get ready with a plan B for opting Universities like LPU, Amity, SRM, BITS Pilani, VIT, SNU etc. All the Best for you future.
