Can you tell me about engineering branches?

There are four core branches of engineering i.e. mechanical, chemical, civil and electrical. Each of these branches has developed into specialised sub-branches. The number of engineering degrees available has increased dramatically. For example, electrical engineering is further divided in specialisations such as electronics, instrumentation, telecommunication, computer Science, information technology, etc. Mechanical Engineering also has specialisations such as production, aeronautical, etc. Chemical engineering is further divided in petrochemical, polymer technology, etc. Civil engineering is divided in material Science and engineering, construction engineering, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, etc. Nowadays, there are a few multidisciplinary engineering such as biotechnology, mining engineering, medical electronics, bioinformatics, mechatronics, automation, etc. You can choose any branch based on your interests.
