Hello,
IIT JAM is Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. It is an entrance test to get admitted in IITs, NITs, or IISc to pursue M.Sc (four semesters), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D, M.Sc.-M.Tech., M.Sc.-Ph.D dual degree & other courses.
IIT JAM 2018 exam will be conducted on 11th February 2018. Candidates who have applied for IIT JAM exam may first download their admit card.
IIT JAM exam is conducted for seven subjects:
1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Mathematics
4. Mathematical Statistics
5. Geology
6. Biological Science
7. Biotechnology

IIT JAM stands for Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Admission Test (JAM)for master. IIT JAM is a National level exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. The Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) is an admission test to Master of Science (M.Sc.) and other post-graduate science programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institute of Science, and other institutes.
There are seven papers of objective type questions on the following subjects:
1)Biotechnology
2)Chemistry
3)Geology
4)Mathematical statistics
5)Mathematics
6)Physics
7)Biological Sciences.
IIT JAM pattern :
Each paper is divided into three sections, consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions, 10 multiple-select questions and 20 numerical-answer questions.
The duration of the exam is 180 minutes.
