candidate of diploma engineering course (3yrs) after bachelor degree in engineering of 3yrs(via lateral entry) ,can apply for BED frm IGNOU?

Can we do B.Ed from IGNOU after Courses such, Diploma engineering (3yr) Then B.Tech of 3yrs ( through lateral entry) Will they can also apply for LT or lecturer post in near future? Or treated with the same manner in pvt or government school?
