Job Profile

Career as Ayurvedic Doctor
  • Examines patients by interrogation, feeling pulse rate and seeing the physical condition of the patient
  • Diagnose ailments and prescribes medicines
  • Prescribes medicines for general improvement of health and prevention of diseases
  • Specializes in the treatment of diseases and disorders such as diabetes, tuberculosis, nervous or mental disorders, and disease peculiar to men, women or children
  • Prepares and sells tonics, patents and other indigenous medicines such as 'bhasms'
