How do I get there?

Tobecome an Interior Designer, you must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 40% marks. And then you can look for interior design courses post class 12th. There are a number of interior designer courses available in India of different program duration. Some of them are of 1 year whereas some of them are for three years. So, you can choose the one as per your requirement. For instance, B.Sc in interior design & decoration by a Bangalore University is of 3 years whereas Diploma in interior design is only of 1-year duration.

  • B.Tech National Diploma in Art and Design (3D Design, Interior Design) Level 3

  • B.Tech Level 3 Extended Diploma in Architecture, Interior and Product Design

The B.Tech level 3 courses can lead up to higher education courses as well, which involves degrees like HND, foundation courses or degree courses.

Now, this is a highly subjective question. An Interior Designing course is known as an affluent course, and thus the fee structure also is in the higher range. So, if you go for regular courses, you might be spending around 15-16 lakh for three years. But if you go for an online course by Delhi Design Academy, it might cost you around 3-4 lakh. You can also get a scholarship of up to 60%, which will reduce your course fee expenses if you qualify for the aptitude test or NATA score.
