Yes, if you are taking admission while falling into a particular category. Then showing the category proof is necessary. If you are taking admission in general category, then no certificate need to be shown and submitted.

Till the last year, caste validity certificate could be submitted by students after getting admission in their respective courses. But this year, the caste validity certificate has been made compulsory even at the time of registration for the admission process. For more details kindly visit the link
