Child falling and Parent Reaction

When a Child falls from a chair, Parents beat the chair. Why? What will be the impact of such a reaction on children?

    It is an interesting phenomenon which is seen in homes. The child climbs the chair, falls down and cries loudly. The mother in her attempt to calm down the child and make it stop crying hits the chair as if the chair is responsible for the fate of the child. A personal opinion is that when the mother sees the child climbing the chair, the mother should come near it and should not discourage the child, but take care that the child does not fall down. This will boost the child;s confidence. When the mother hits the chair, she is conveying the message to the child not to accept responsibility for the deeds. Any way, it is a personal opini

    It is an interesting phenomenon which is seen in all Indian homes. The child falls down from the chair and cries loudly. The mother comes near and make it stop crying after hits the chair. A personal opinion is that when the mother sees the child falling down from the chair do it, she is conveying the that child should learn how to become self confident to face any problems in his/her life.
