Completed 12th CBSE 7 years back now I need to correct father's spelling mistake. Went to school but they said can correct within 5 years.

As per CBSE Revised Rules of correction/change in name/ DoB are as under :
Application for correction in name of Candidate/Fathers/Mothers/ Guardians name will be considered only within one year of the date of declaration of result provided the application of the candidate is forwarded by the Head of Institution with the following attested documents:
So in your case there is a gap of more than 7 years after declaration of result. So correction in CBSE marksheet is very difficult. Please ask to concerned school or CBSE regarding this.
