Completed MBA (HR) ful time regular fm USA, wt 2 pursue Phd in India, MBA not recg. by UGC but accredited by AACSB, kindly suggest next step

MBA done through twinning prog. therefore not recognized by UGC / AICTE, is there any way i can get a equivalence certificate to pursue Phd. in India, heard of Association of Indian universities (AIU), can they help. And can i apply to Govt. recognized Phd. prog. or only through private university
