Credibility of lateral entry to 2nd year of Heriot Watt University for B.Sc. (Hons) - Computer Science with AI.

We are getting lateral entry to 2nd year of BSc (Hons) Computer Science at Heriot Watt University at the Dubai Camp. It is actually a 4 year course. I would like to know if it will have any adverse impact in countries like Canada/US wherein they may require 16 years of study in order to do Masters?
