CS or civil . Which engineering branch is better for getting government job in india?

CIVIL for government job because CIVIL is core branch -
Civil engineering is different. I don't know that it is any better. If you like to design things, be outside some, enjoy construction projects, then you would probably like civil engineering better. If you really enjoy electrical engineering then computer science engineering would likely suit you better. It is so hard to know what a person will enjoy doing and there are so many variations of what a person might end up doing with either of those majors I would recommend opting for the major with the classes you do best in.
