Dear Rishav, the both are CSE and ECE. CSE or Computer Science Engineering is all about computers. Candidates pursuing this course will be studying the hardware, software, microprocessors, microcontrollers, and many such items of a computer. So, if you have got interested in computers, this is the right course for you. ECE stands for Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. As the name suggests, it is all about electronics in different fields. It can be about the microwave, satellite communications, electronic gadgets, and many more. So, if you have got interested in this sector, you can go for the course of ECE. I have many friends who have done CSE and ECE from LPU. Let me share few details of LPU. Good Placement: Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package available for the Engineering programme is 42 LPA till now. Electrical engineering is a discipline concerned with the study, design and application of equipment, devices and systems which use electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. Being an alumni of LPU I had lot of friends in CSE stream so I had an idea about the B.Tech CSE. As I believe CSE is much better then ECE. An Engineering programme which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place. Students will develop competence in areas like programming, Database Management Systems, Networks and Security, Operating Systems, Cloud Computing etc. B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering is related with algorithms, computation, programming languages, programme design, computer hardware, computer software etc. It is a comprehensive course in computer systems and applications. The students who pursue the course of Computer Science Engineering are taught about design, the implementation as well as management of computer software and hardware. Eligibility Details :Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. It depends upon the student as per their career as well as Subject interest. In my opinion one should select the subject in which he / she is having good command or further career interest. ECE is a versatile discipline and enables you to work in a diverse range of jobs in various sectors. The duties of ECE graduates are a wide and diverse range of duties. Like facilitation of transmission of information across various channels like optical fiber, radio link, designing equipment such as routers, switches, fiber optics etc. , setting up networks and equipment, maintenance of electronic systems/gears etc. Thus they are often in huge demand in Electronics, Telecom, and Software companies. On the other hand, undoubtedly in Today Technology evolving scenario in terms of Online Mode of application in all the sectors, demand of QUALITY Software Engineers are on high scale. It all depends on your interest and according to me; Computer Science has become a fascinating field and focuses on the theoretical foundation of computing along with state-of-the-art development of computing solutions. It is a combination of programming, hardware administration, software administration, networking, and network security. Right now CSE is better. Trends can change anytime in favor of ECE.

Hey Rishav, Generally both the courses give you same number of opportunities afterwards. However CSE will be preferred as it is required in almost all the industries either technical or non-technical. You can also work easily as a freelancer if you choose CSE rather than ECE. Also choose a good university as not all the universities have good placement records. Some suggestions -
