    Hi Shivanand,
Well I would say nothing is impossible, but to achieve your aim you need to put in a lot of efforts and also you need to come out stronger while facing obstacles. The transition from software testing to a programmer is not easy but if you are keen to make it through and with the help of your hardwork and determination, you shall make it possible.
For a course in Java, a basic IT and C++ knowledge will benefit you a lot. There are many institutes that offer Java modules, but it is advised to locate an institute which offers authorised certification like NIIT, Aptech and other courses.

Hi Shivanand, in software development many computer engineering graduates work in software development, as systems software engineers, systems analysts and application software professionals. However, there are other professional courses in the area of software. To help you, I am sending you link of institutes offering your desired course, please go through it.
