Dear all its regarding about general maths can a general maths student take science after 10th from Maharashtra (SSC) board.?

Dear friends, my nephew has passed her 10th with Maharashtra board and she got 70%, she is interested in science stream she has visited many colleges but everyone told that, she's not illegible to take science because she had took general maths in her 10th. Please guide how can she take science?
