Hi,
Mahatma Gandhi University is recognized by the following regulatory bodies:
University Grant Commission (UGC)
Distance Education Council (DEC)
Joint Committee of UGC-AICTE- DEC
So do not worry and proceed with applying for banking jobs. Banking is one of the most sought after career choice am

But mam as per UGC no university is authorized to award a degree outside state through its study center or by franchising. I was too a student of Mahatma Gandhi University and I am too confused about distance degree validity. Just go through the link:

Dear Sachin,
Only universities have the authority to verify its degree. If a university has issued it and another university confirm its authenticity then nobody can do anything against you. Best of luck.

I have a degree with MGU University Meghalaya with distance education. Is it valid in all other state of India because UGC has told MGU Meghalaya is not authorised to award distance degree outside Meghalaya.
