Details about CAT EXAM 2012

i am studyin bbm 4th sem...the sem exam gets over in april and i am into 5th sem by june.....can i take up the cat exam dis year..i.e..2012?? is it enuf if i submit my 5th sem certificates...or is it necessary to submit the final sem certificates?? can i clear cat if i start studying from april??
