Difference between computer and softare engineering

So i didn't clear my hsc board exam so i'm planning to do diploma and then degree in software engineering but i found not a single college which provide software engineering diploma in mumbai . they all say "computer science" or "IT" but i know there is vast difference between all that courses

Software engineering is called IT & Computer Engineering is also called computer science engineering.Normally,in IT only writing software , checking,testing etc.Incase of CSE both software & hardware is taught & this qualification is on demand in present IT Industry. R
