    Hi,
IELTS and TOEFL are the exams which need to be taken by all the international students whose first or native language is not English. So the student can take either TOEFL or IELTS.
Both IELTS and TOEFL has 4 section namely:
    *Reading
    *Writing
    *Speaking
    *Listening
Please note that it is always advisable to take TOEFL test if you wish pursue studies in US, whereas it would be advisable to take IELTS, if you wish to pursue studies in UK, Australia and New Zealand.
    Feel free to discuss more.
