Do admission officers in MIT, Stanford or Cornell verify all the documents especially transcripts sent by a student?
How do they verify its genuineness?

Since the documents are attested and are on school / college letterhead, it is taken as verified document but at any point of time if they find any discrepancies, you can be rejected. So, never submit any fake ones.
