IISER students can avail the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana scholarship a National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Department of Science and Technology has decided to subsume KVPY with Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE). The students in the BS-MS programme at IISER Mohali receive the INSPIRE or KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) fellowship as long as they perform well.
