Do CU Journalism students work on live industry projects?

<p><strong>This university is different when it comes to practical hands-on experience. Such practicals are organized by the presence of a community radio station running on FM through which students can enhance their hosting skills. Then again, there is such a sophisticated TV studio with PCR on campus where broadcast training is imparted. More than all that, they perform media stuff through their digital hub on the campus channel while creating newsletters and magazines. All this also keeps the students active through field visits and outdoor activities. During the last phase, students go for mandatory internships in industries and spend months around the newsrooms and media houses. Such experiences go beyond just textbooks. Live projects are not a one-off project; they run semester by semester. Students are given space to test skills and practice in real way.</strong></p>

<p dir="ltr">Students studying at CU not just attend classes. They also engage in media-related work. A community radio station is one of the "on-campus" offers at 90.0 FM. Here, they can speak on-air, record, or share their own ideas with listeners. Students have access to a TV studio and control room, just like a real channel. They learn how news is made, how to mix videos, and how to run shows. Apart from this, they write for the campus magazine and produce digital shows. Excursions, photo walks, and field trips are also part of the course. Last semester, internships and training are mandatory. All this prepares students for entry into the industry and gives them good exposure. Yes, they include live projects.</p>
