No, if you have qualified for the GATE exam, you do not need to appear in the Karnataka PGCET to take admission in the M.Tech course. The GATE is a national-level exam, and admission to the majority of engineering colleges in India is based on its score. You can apply for admission to M.Tech program

No. Students who have a valid GATE score can just submit their score card and a separate merit list will be prepared for them for M.Tech in Karnataka, they don't even have to and more importantly can't take the exam of PGCET as per KEA guidelines. If your GATE score is low, then just click a Non-GAT
