do i have to apply in different colleges where i would like to get admission(which admits students on the basis of xat or cat) before writing these exams, or can i approach them after my entrance exams along with my score???

As per your query, I would suggest you to first prepare for CAT test and score well in it so that you may score good percentile.
Once the results are declared, then you may apply for different colleges where you fulfil the eligibility criteria, by this there would be no need for you to apply f
