Yes, medical health insurance is a crucial requirement for international students who are planning to study in Ireland. The health care system in Ireland provides access to essential medical services to Irish citizens. However, this heath care facility is not available for non-European Union (EU) and non-European Economic Area (EEA) students. Thus, they are required to get a medical insurance which covers the medical expenses for the entire duration of the stay. The proof of insurance is also required for visa application to Irish visa authority.
