Do I need to appear for any screening test after completing my MBBS abroad?
Can I opt out of the screening test if my college is approved by the MCI?

Yes, one needs to appear in a screening test called Foreign Medical Graduate Examination conducted by NAT board. If a person secures at least 50% marks in this exam then only he or she is able to practice as a MBBS doctor in India. Passing score of this exam is very low around 10%.

Why passing score is very low? I don't understand this when we have studied from an MCI approved college abroad, then why there is a need to take a screening test?
