IISERs strictly must not have state quota.
Imposing state quota will also allow less qualified students to reach there, this will degrade the quality of researches did there, this will eventually lower India's rank in research on large scale.So there must be neither state quota nor category quota in

It was not much important to apply for defence quota. You must qualify in intermediate with 65 % passing marks for participating in IISER counselling process.

The IISER exam date is June 7, 2026. The exam will commence at 9 AM and continue till 12 PM. It is a computer-based test.
