Do I need to have a BA Hons degree to be eligible for PUMDET?

<p>Yes. Candidates should have done their BA (Hons) and not just a normal BA programme to be eligible for admission to PG courses. The academic eligibility criteria is as follows:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Have cleared (not before 2019) or appeared for BA (Hons) examination in 2023 from any recognised University.</li><li>Have appeared for&nbsp;<a href="https://www.shiksha.com/b-a-bachelor-of-arts-chp">BA</a>&nbsp; (Hons) exam and should have their final results at the time of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.shiksha.com/university/presidency-university-kolkata/pumdet-exam-counselling">counselling</a>&nbsp;and produce their original mark sheets/grade cards of all semester/annual examinations passed at the Bachelor&rsquo;s level. Such candidates must fulfil the academic eligibility norms for their applied courses tabled below for admission.</li><li>Have appeared for their final BA (Hons) examination, but their final results have not been declared at the time of counselling, such candidates shall be given provisional admission on the basis of production of their previous mark sheets/grade cards of all previous semester/annual examinations at their Bachelor&rsquo;s level. However, they must submit their final mark sheet by August 31, 2023 to ensure that they fulfil their minimum eligibility criteria, failing which their admission will stand cancelled.</li></ul>
