Do I need to have a strong programming background to study this course?
I am a geography student from the University of Calcutta and i am keen on pursuing my career in geoinformatics but I do not possess any knowledge in the programming field. Will I be taught that in my PG program or do I need to have a strong base already in programming languages?

Hey,
Not too strong but a fine programming background will help. Otherwise, there are weekly contests going on within the campus from which one can learn a lot.
