    Hi,
How are you? Yes, it will be better for you to take up IT, it will be beneficial for you.
Well, each and every branch in engineering is good, we can't compare them. Just there are a few differences like mechanical, electrical and civil are evergreen branches but CS, IT and EC have high placement records.
Other than this, you may also take chemical, metallurgy, mechatronics, etc.
    So, choose a suitable branch.
    Go for it.
    Thank you and keep asking!

If you have an inclination for computers then you should go for computers. If you just have an aim to convert your JEE and then choose an engineering stream, which is absolutely normal, then go for physical education, the least burdensome subject. But beware that physical education does not guarantee great marks in boards if you are opting for boards and since 12th marks matter, you should choose judiciously.
If you are seriously interested in studying some subject, then take psychology - easy to score in and syllabus is interesting and light.

    Hi,
No, there's no need to apply for an additional subject like IT or computer science.
For admission in the engineering field, you need 5 subjects in which PCM is compulsory.
    I hope this helps!
