    Yes, students need to submit the proof of financial resources before they can get an I-20. From the Spring 2023 term, the funding requirement will be raised to USD 44,000 (INR 36,52,770). At present, it is USD 42,500 (INR 35,28,243). Students need to prove that they have atleast this much amount to handle their first-year academic expenditure on tuition, fees, and accommodation. The proof cannot be older than 6 months. The proof can be a statement from your bank or financial institution.
