Do I need to pursue B.Ed to teach in schools? I have done M.Sc in biochemistry.

If you have completed your Master's degree, you should try for NET and do Ph.D for lectureship in colleges. It will be a better option. But still, if you wish to be a school teacher, you can either do a Ph.D or a B.Ed. Both are acceptable.

Yes, you have to pursue B.Ed programme if you want to work as a teacher only in a school because most of the good schools require B.Ed to apply for the vacancy, especially in teaching profile.
You should appear for the NET exam and open your doors for the college lecturership.
