Do I need to pursue Bachelors in journalism to do Masters in journalism or can I pursue it directly?

After completing 12th, I will also go for an English language course.

No, you don't necessarily need a journalism major to get a Master's in Journalism (MJ). Many programs accept students from various backgrounds as long as they have:

    • A bachelor's degree in any field from a recognised university.
    • Strong writing and communication skills.
    • Passion for journalism and strong work ethic.

Some programs might prefer applicants with journalism or related backgrounds, but it's not always mandatory.

    Hi Anindita,
You need to complete your Bachelor's degree in journalism or in any stream. After completing your graduation, you will be eligible for Master in journalism because without graduation, you will not get admission for Master's degree.
