Do I need to score 75% in HSC to appear for JEE Mains or to take admission in NITs and IIITs?

It is not needed to appear for the Mains paper but it is required at the time of admission in any IIT NIT or GFTI as according to the JEE Mains guidelines.

Hello Deepa, For admission in NITs, you need a minimum of 75% in HSC.

The candidate is able to take JEE Mains exam, but for getting admissions in NITs and IITs, a minimum score of 75% in HSC is required.

You don't need 75% to appear for JEE Main but to take admission in NITs you need 75% in your 12th board exams.

Usually, JEE Main exam requires a minimum of 75% for the general category and 65% for the reserved category in the 12th class examination. However, this year NTA has discarded the percentage criteria and only the 12th pass Certificate is required for registration.
