It's not necessary to sit for JEE exam in order to study BCA. There are many universities that have their own entrance exam, or on the merit basis or many other private universities are also there.

The general eligibility criteria to be eligible for applying for BCA course you must have completed your Higher Secondary (+2) Examination or equivalent (Diploma/degree), with minimum 50% marks in total and also having Mathematics as subject in the qualifying examination.

There is no need to sit in the JEE exam. Most of the colleges admit students on the basis of merit (12th marks). However, a few colleges may conduct their own entrance exam.
