If you want to apply for JEE Advanced or want to take admission in NITs, IIITs or IITs then yes, it is necessary to give improvement exam in all the subjects.

Don't get confused. Admission in NITS and IIITS is through JEE MAINS rank. JEE ADV. is for IITs only but if you want NITS and IIITS then 75% is must. You can give JEE mains exam even if you don't score 75% in 12th but you can't get admission in NITS and IIITS.
