Do I need to write any exam for pursuing IT courses? (Please answer this question. Thank You)

I am currently studying 2nd PU in Karnataka. I have keen interest in Information Technology and Computers. However, I was wondering if I need to write KCET or any other similar exam for admission to colleges for studying BCA, BSc CS/IT, etc. Please guide me here. Thank You!
