Do IIMs lower their sectional score for short-listing if one clears over all cut-off but didn't clear one section out of three?
Suppose a student from SC category gets overall percentile as 72 with sectional percentiles as LRDI 25 qa 76 va 86 but IIM mentions shortlisting criteria as an overall 65 and sectional lrdi 50 qa 50 va 50. Is it possible to get shortlisted in this criteria knowing lrdi obtained is 25 instead of 50?

IIMs generally don't lower their sectional score for short-listing. But if you have a good percentile, they might accept. You should talk to some IIM student for more accurate information.

The IIMs usually don't do that because, mostly there are enough people who have cleared the required criteria and are eligible for an IIM call (with their limited number of seats). When the extended shortlists are exhausted and they need new candidates to fill in their seats (usually the newer IIMs)

They generally don't. But newer IIMs have been observed to do that at times.
