Do MCA lateral entry students get less opportunities as compared to MCA candidates (3-year)?

    The usual MCA is of 3 years I. e it is designed in such a manner that a guy with a non-CS background can be taught skills with good computer programming skills post completion. But in case of MCA lateral entry it is already taken into consideration that the student has at least some basic & rudimentary knowledge of CS I. e it is meant for those students who have completed BCA or B.Sc. CS in their UG. Moreover MCA lateral entry is a 2 year course as compared to the former one which is a 3 year course
    These are the main differences that exist. After completing these two you have same value of degree. Regards.
